This year's ACRAWSA conference will be held at The Sebel Mandurah, which is located on the shore of Mandjar Bay, on the country of the Binjareb people of the Noongar nation. The four and a half star Sebel is only minutes walk from the Performing Arts Centre, cinemas, and range of restaurants and specialist shops. it is also close to Mandurah's beaches. Accommodation is available at the venue. Alternatively there are other accommodation options close by within walking distance.
Mandurah, home to one of Murdoch University's regional campuses, is just to the south of Perth which has an international airport with direct flights regularly arriving from a wide range of locations and serviced by a variety of airlines. All major domestic carriers fly to and from Perth several times daily with direct flights from all mainland capital cities. The Perth Airport is approximately one hour from Mandurah by car. Speedy and comfortable electric trains operate frequently from Perth city to Mandurah.
It is also possible to travel from other states to Perth by coach or train. This option is very time-consuming given the distances between cities in Australia, however the Indian Pacific rail journey from Sydney to Perth via Adelaide is recognised as one of the world's great train rides for those wanting to take the opportunity for a special holiday add-on to the conference.
