DISCUSSION BOARD

ACRAWSA will soon be hosting a new form of discussion forum via the website. Members and invited guests will be able to access a selection of key writers and will be given a period of time within which to consider the papers and post a response. The organisers of each discussion forum hope that they will promote exciting and vigorous discussions of key papers in the field of critical race and whiteness studies, and that the authors themselves may be involved in responding to some of the discussions. An archive of posts will be retained as a member resource following the close of each discussion forum.

The first forum, to be held in July 2006, will focus on writings by key scholars in Australia, including Aileen Moreton-Robinson, Fiona Nicoll, Suvendrini Perera and Toula Nicolacopoulos and George Vassilacopoulos.

The second forum to be held in late 2006 will focus on papers from keynote speakers at the 2006 ACRAWSA conference.

ACRAWSA members will have the opportunity to invite guests to join each forum and interested parties are invited to join the association and benefit from member resources such as these forums. For more information please contact the postgrad rep who will be organising forums for 2006.
